Thursday 1 October 2020 Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, On Sunday we celebrate the festival of Francis of Assisi and we will be focusing especially on his love for the created world. This will be the last Sunday in Creation season. The church is now full, but the service will be online (from Saturday evening) and will also be repeated on Wednesday 7th October at 10.30am. There is no need to book for this service, but please ring the office if you intend to come. Junior Church and Crèche begin again on Sunday and this will take place once a month on the first Sunday of the month. Parents are requested to take their children straight to the lower hall and then pick them up from there at the end of the service. It will be a joy to see the children again! Please remember that we are now requested to wear a mask throughout the service. Thanks for your co-operation. Sunday 11th October will be our harvest festival and pledge Sunday. To prepare for this we are asking people to bring donations of tinned food and fresh produce to decorate the church. This will be taken to the Passantenhilfe afterwards. The collection will be for the work of Tearfund. The booking link for 11th October is https://www.trybooking.com/BLWAD After the service on 11th October, we will serve hot soup outside and then from 11.30 there will be a talk in church by Manuel Sager, a former diplomat and Director General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation. The title of his talk will be: 'The best of times or the worst of times: how can we tell and how can we make the difference?' News from Rachel
